NCCIR has formed an actual Unified State Register of Postal Telecommunications Operators
In accordance with the Part 6, Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Postal Communication”, with the subparagraph 30 of paragraph 4 of the Regulation of National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (hereinafter – NCCIR), approved by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 23 November 2011 No. 1067, and the Procedure for Conducting the Unified State Register of Postal Telecommunications Operators, approved by the NCCIR decision dated 29 November 2016 No. 623 and registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on December 21, 2016 under No. 1679/29809, on the basis of the notifications the actual Unified State Register of Postal Telecommunications Operators (hereinafter – Register) was formed. As of March 14, 2017 the Register consists of 23 economic entities which provide its activity in the post services sector.
The Register was created with the purpose of providing consumers with information about the possibility of an alternative choice of a service provider which will provide services for mail receiving, mail processing, transportation and delivery of postal items and execution of consumers’ requests on postal transfers, execution of consumers’ requests on banking operations in certain territories of Ukraine, which will promote market competition and the satisfaction of the needs of consumers in the relevant services.
Consequently, postal operators which are operating in compliance with Ukrainian legislation – are economic entities, information of which is contained in the Register posted on the official NCCIR website.
